Bread and Butter
This chant goes in the rhythm of a clap on both knees, then a normal clap. This rhythm continues throughout the rhyme except when “saying” hello or goodbye
Bread and Butter
Marmalade and Jam
Let’s say Hello
As quietly as we can
Hello
Quietly
Bread and Butter
Marmalade and Jam
Let’s say Hello
As loudly as we can
Hello
Loudly
Bread and Butter
Marmalade and Jam
Let’s say Hello
As slowly as we can
Hello
Slowly
Bread and Butter
Marmalade and Jam
Let’s say Hello
As fast as we can
Hello
Fast
Bread and Butter
Marmalade and Jam
Let’s say Hello
As high as we can
Hello
In high voice
Bread and Butter
Marmalade and Jam
Let’s say Hello
As low as we can
Hello
In a very low voice

Five Little Monkeys
Five little monkeys jumping on the bed
Hold five fingers up
One fell off and bumped his head
Hit head with hand
Mummy called the doctor and the Doctor said
Make telephone gesture with hand and hold it up to ear
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!"
Wave finger as if telling off
Four little monkeys...
Three little monkeys...
Two little monkeys...
One little monkey jumping on the bed
Hold five fingers up
One fell off and bumped his head
Hit head with hand
Mummy called the doctor and the Doctor said
Make telephone gesture with hand and hold it up to ear
"Get those monkeys back into bed!"
Wave finger as if telling off

Fee, Fie, Foe, Fum
Fee, fie, foe, fum,
Extend each finger in turn
See my fingers?
Wiggle fingers
See my thumb?
Wiggle thumb
Fee, fie, foe, fum
Fold down one finger at a time
Fingers gone,
Hide fingers in hand
So is thumb!
Hide thumb

Incy Wincy Spider
Incy wincy spider climbed up the water spout
Make spider movements with thumb and index fingers of both hands climbing up
Down came the rain and washed poor Incy out
Wiggle fingers and move them down like rain
Out came the sunshine and dried up all the rain
Cross over arms and raise up to emulate sun
So Incy Wincy spider climbed up the spout again
Make spider climbing movements again

Pirate Pete
This is a felt picture of a pirate. You start off with the man and then add the different pirate features (parrot, wooden leg, hook, hat, eyepatch etc). You ask questions like "What does he need on his head?" etc to assemble him.

There's a spider on the floor
From Singable Songs For The Very Young by Raffi
There's a spider on the floor
There's a spider on the floor, on the floor.
There's a spider on the floor, on the floor.
Who could ask for anything more, than a spider on the floor.
There's a spider on the floor, on the floor.
Now the spider's on my leg, on my leg.
Now the spider's on my leg, on my leg.
Oh, I wish I had some Raid for this spider on my leg!
Now the spider's on my leg, on my leg.
Now the spider's on my chest, on my chest!
Now the spider's on my chest, on my chest!
Oh, I'd squish him in my vest, if it didn't make a mess!
Now the spider's on my chest, on my chest!
Now the spider's on my neck, on my neck!
Now the spider's on my neck on my neck!
Oh, I'm gonna be a wreck, I've got a spider on my neck!
Now the spider's on my neck on my neck!
Now the spider's on my face, on my face!
Now the spider's on my face, on my face!
Oh, what a big disgrace, I've got a spider on my face!
Now the spider's on my face, on my face
Now the spider's on my head, on my head!
Now the spider's on my head, on my head!
Oh, I wish that he were dead. I've got a spider on my head!
Now the spider's on my head, on my head!
But he jumped off....
Quietly

Little Miss Muffet
Little Miss Muffet, sat on her tuffet
Eating her curds and whey;
Along came a spider, who sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
When I do this I have a spider puppet and bring it when he "sits down beside her"
